Looks like we’ve got some new visitors on the Savings Safari. My name is Safari Sam, and I’ll be your guide. First I’ll tell you about what you can expect, and then do my best to get you out of here before the lions get hungry!
Savings Safari is a financial literacy initiative that includes a Savings Account program with rewards for graduating from high school (account is available for students in 1st – 12th grade). It only takes $1.00 to open the account. Although there is no minimum balance requirement after the account is open, we encourage you to take full advantage by using it for all your child's saving needs. We also provide financial literacy materials here on our website and in our branches!
Upon graduation from high school, student account holders will receive a Graduation Reward (deposited to their account) that corresponds to what grade they were in when the account was opened. They can receive this Reward after they bring in and show us their high school diploma. As long as the account is still open when they bring in their diploma, they will be eligible for the Reward.
As you saw on the home page, we have three kinds of animal members on our Safari: Money Monkeys (1st-4th), Loot Lions (5th-8th), and Cash Crocs (9th-12th) , I don’t think they bite, but I’d be careful all the same. If they complete the financial literacy materials provided (you can find these by clicking on your age group on the home page), they will get a prize when they level-up to a Lion or Croc!

This course contains print-off financial literacy lessons that must be completed to get a prize for moving up to a Loot Lion. If you don’t have a printer, no worries… we can print them for you at the bank!
